Bloomfield House is believed to have been built around 1750, with an extension added in the 1800's. It was once home to the Lord Mayor of Bath and is considered to be a 'Bath gem'. It is situated in the Bear Flat area of Bath and is an easy 15 minute walk to the city centre or 5 minutes in the car, buses and taxis are plentiful in the area, making access to all amenities and attractions very easy.

Since 2021 it has undergone a complete refurbishment to an exceptionally high standard and is now again ready to welcome guests to experience the grandeur of the high ceilings, original Georgian features and generously proportioned rooms.
It has been elegantly furnished and decorated with individual touches and original artwork, whilst retaining a homely atmosphere. In addition to having the house to yourself to explore and relax in, you will also benefit from being looked after by our friendly housekeepers who will pamper you with a continental breakfast and daily housekeeping, both of which are optional.
Drawing Room
The drawing room at Bloomfield House has the feel of an exclusive hotel bar and is the perfect place to enjoy pre or after dinner drinks.
The triple aspect windows, including an impressive bay window flood the room with light making it is equally suited to settling down with a good book. The decor is calming and the Soho Home furnishings add elegance.

Several different seating areas, including a game table and bar area allow the room to be used in a flexible way, easily accommodating 16+ but cosy enough to relax in, in smaller numbers.

A log burning stove, with wood provided, underfloor heating, automated blinds and a Bluetooth speaker complete the room.
Withdrawing Room
The withdrawing room offers a more relaxed feel, curl up on the enormous sumptuous sofa and enjoy some chill time!

Catch up on your favourite shows on the 65 inch Samsung Frame smart TV, which acts as a piece of art when not being watched.

On a cold day enjoy the benefits of the underfloor heating and log burning fire, with wood provided.​​
Kitchen and Dining Room
The custom made kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm! With a Bertazonni double oven, Fisher and Paykel fridge freezer and two Miele dishwashers it is well equipped to cater for large numbers. Plenty of worktop space and a large island make plating food a dream.

You will also find a built in microwave and boiling water tap to make life easy. The dining area built-ins hide a tea and coffee station for that all important start to the day.​The kitchen leads into the dining room, but the original bifold doors mean that the two rooms can be separated.

The solid oak dining table can seat up to 16, with 2 more seating spaces on the kitchen island for larger groups.

Cinema Room
The cinema room at Bloomfield house has been professionally built and kitted out with the latest equipment, it is situated on the lower ground floor.​

The 120 inch 4K screen, 13 surround speakers and audio treatment provide the full cinema experience.

The two large squishy sofas arranged in two rows, allow you to relax in comfort and watch content from the Apple TV including Netflix, Prime etc. or choose a movie from the Kaleidescape movie system. ​​​​​​

Master Suite One
Bloomfield House has two master suites both situated on the first floor.​ The first is a large bright room with the comfortable king size bed situated to take advantage of fabulous views across Bath.

The mirrored dressing table and smart TV add to the luxury of the room.
​
The ensuite bathroom and dressing room includes a large walk-in shower, double vanity unity as well a freestanding stone bath.​​​​​​​​​​
Master Suite Two
The second master suite, situated on the first floor is a light filled room with double aspect windows, one of which is a large bay window.

The bed has been situated to enjoy views from the window, and also allowed for the creation of a walk-in wardrobe and dressing table area. Watch your favourite content on the smart projector.

The freestanding stone bath on a wooden plinth in the corner of the room, gives the room a spa like feel.

The ensuite bathroom includes a large walk-in shower and double vanity unity.
Bunk Room
The bunk bed room is situated on the first floor and is a children's delight!​

Six built in bunk beds with sturdy steps and rails on the top bunks ensure safety as well as fun. Four of the beds are 5ft, so suitable for younger children, the remaining two are full size singles.

A desk, cupboard and beanbags complete this children's room.
​
There is a compact shower room just across the hallway, so the children will have their own bathroom.​​​
Bedroom One
On the second floor you will find five further ensuite bedrooms. The first of these has a stunning king size Soho Home bed, built in wardrobe and dressing table and views across Bath.​

The small ensuite shower room is perfectly formed, with a shower, basin and WC.

Bedroom Two
Bedroom two on the second floor is bright, spacious and calm with lovely views across Bath.​

The contemporary king size four poster bed provides a luxurious feel to the room, complemented by the mirrored dressing table and striking accent chair. It also includes a smart TV.

Bedroom Three
Bedroom three on the second floor is beautifully finished with a double Soho Home bed and large fitted wardrobe.

Bedroom Five
Bedroom five is next to bedroom four at the end of the corridor and has an airy vaulted ceiling.

The large luxurious ensuite shower room is down a couple of steps and has a large walk-in shower, counter top basin and WC.​​
Bedroom Six
Bedroom six can be found on the lower ground floor next to the cinema, for those who like to stay up late!​

It has views over the garden and a king size bed.

Garden
The large professionally landscaped gardens are perfect to relax in on a sunny day, with mature trees, a large lawn and views towards Bath.

The garden room provides comfortable seating and a quiet place to escape the occasional British weather or perhaps grab a yoga mat and take some time for yourself.
​
The outdoor kitchen and Weber BBQ mean outdoor cooking is an easy option.
​
The hot tub can be found on the other side of the garden room, relax with a glass of bubbly and then use the adjacent changing room when you want to dry off.

Garden games for all ages are available in the garden room.​​

In addition to the spaces listed above you will also find spacious seating areas on both the first and second floor landings, take a minute to escape and read a book or find time for some quiet contemplation.

There is a stylishly decorated cloakroom on the ground floor.
On the lower ground floor the spacious oval boot room allows all shoes, boots, coats and hats to be stored neatly. In the attached utility room there is a handy belfast sink for cleaning muddy shoes as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer.

In the lower ground floor hallway you will also find the glass hatch to the lit wine cellar. This very cool feature is locked, but can be accessed upon request. ​​
