The food and drink options easily accessible from Bloomfield House are nearly endless! A 10 minute walk to the local amenity area gives you 3 options for dining; for a quick lunch visit The Good Bear cafe, open Monday to Saturday, if you're looking for that special meal visit Menu Gordon Jones, open for lunch and dinner Wednesday to Saturday, and enjoy a tasting menu, or if you're looking for a traditional pub meal, take a look at the Bear Inn. Venturing into Bath city centre, just a 20 minute downhill walk or an easy bus or Uber ride opens up numerous possibilities, as well as the usual chain restaurants such as Nandos, Cote, Bill's and the Cosy Club you find any type of cuisine you fancy, covering all price ranges. Places to visit
You will be spoilt for choice when deciding on the places you would like to visit whilst staying at Bloomfield House, all interests are catered for so you may need to split your group to please everyone! For Bridgerton fans, join a 2 hour walking tour to see filming locations used in Bridgerton, whilst history buffs will be excited to visit the iconic Roman Baths, Jane Austen centre and the American Museum. Animal lovers might be interested in the Bird of Prey Project experience or the Bath City Farm. Those looking for a more relaxing day will enjoy the tranquility of the Thermae Bath Spa. Activities
Below are some ideas for activities you could pre-book to enhance your stay, you can probably find any activity you can think of within a short distance of Bath, so if there are other activities you would be interested in, let us know and we will investigate for you.
You don't have to spend money to get active in Bath, there are some lovely walks close by, taking in both the city and surrounding countryside. The iconic Bath Skyline Walk is a 6 mile, circular National Trust walk which takes in views all around Bath, stunning countryside and passes many places of interest on route. The walk takes 3h 30m - 4h and is considered to be moderately challenging, but is well worth the effort!
Festivals
Bath has many festivals spanning the whole year and covering varied interests, the most notable is the Bath Christmas Market, which runs from the end of November until the middle of December each year and attracts visitors from all over the world. Found out more information here.

If you are visiting from further afield you will find that Bath is well positioned for visiting other places of interest in the UK, with excellent transport links by both road and rail you can easily plan day trips from Bloomfield House. Here are some suggestions which can be reached within 2 hours:
Bristol
Bristol is just 13 miles away by car from Bloomfield House or less than 20 mins on the train, visit the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge and explore the up-market Clifton Village with its many cafes and restaurants and a selection of boutique shops.

Take a walking tour to see much of Banksy's art or visit the SS Great Britain and learn about Brunel's famous steam ship. If you're here during August check if you can visit the spectacle of the Bristol International Balloon Festival.
Cotswold villages
Visit the many beautiful Cotswold villages within a couple of hours drive from Bloomfield House, stroll through the village centres and browse in the art shops before heading for a traditional British pub for a hearty meal.

Castle Combe is the closest village, just 13 miles away, others you might want to investigate and consider are Burford (63 miles), Bourton-on-the-water (55 miles) and Chipping Camden (67 miles). There are many others too, so why not plan a tour.
London
Less than 1h 30m on the train from Bath Spa station puts you at Paddington Station in the capital. Enjoy a full day of activities in London and still be back to Bloomfield House for some peace and quiet and a takeaway!​
